The caliber 390 automatic movement used for the ref. 7922 was manufactured for Tudor by a company named Fabrique d’Ébauches de Fleurier. The model ref. 7923 is interesting, as it is the only manual-winding Submariner ever produced either by Rolex or Tudor. During the 60’s almost all Tudor models disbanded the various movement manufacturers and went over to ETA. Technically the 7016 features a ETA Cal. 2483. I always wondered how you could have a movement number and clearly there is date and no date. That is like a General Motors move to have two differently engineered parts with the same part number. Parts might be swapped (is it a 395 or 355?) but the plates would be stamped wrong Anyone know where I can find a parts list for the tudor 390 movement? Better yet an exploded view of one.
